  1. I'm with you Ward - absolutely love peanut butter but not a fan of peanuts. Never have figured that one out. ;)

Ooh Dean Koontz - one of my faves. Am reading '77 Shadow Street' right now but can't read it for very long before I scare myself and have to come back later - like tomorrow.

I'll answer a few of your questions:
    1. Favorite pizza topping is Spinach, Mushroom and Onion with a garlic cream sauce instead of tomato.
    8. I'm changing this one up a bit (ok, so I bend rules)- I find anyone that acts with integrity, inspirational - even if I don't agree with their actions.
    11. If I could have one wish, I would wish for 24 hours of wishes. :D

Will be interested to see other answers.

    Blessings,
    Cat

  2. I too love Dean Koontz, although I haven't read his work in quite a while.

Favorite pizza topping....mushroom, onion and green pepper.

I cannot for the life of me remember all the names but I was so inspired by the nuns and lay women in the book, Salvador Witness.

  3. Oh I loved your random facts. I am SOOOOO sad that Borders closed. It was a loss worth mourning in our family. I am also more comfortable with my shoes off than on :)

    1. I get all weird about hot feet, lol. My favorite was a little mom & pop bookstore, but it closed. Now, of the remaining ones, I prefer Books a Million over B&N, which is way to cold & clinical for me. BaM is warm & cozy & inviting. It's a nice family outing sometimes :)

    1. Hi, Riley, you're most welcome:) Can't wait to read 'em!

We try to be, we're vegetarian, and we try to take care of ourselves and the boys (that's a trick, especially with their SPD). We actually have another blog, not updated as much as this one, with some of our vegetarian recipes, and information on SPD it's here: http://4grasseaters.blogspot.com/. Minelle visits us there from time to time :)

    2. Whoaa love the recipes, I'm definitely trying some! After having looked at your taste, I think you might enjoy the lentil recipe I have on my page: http://vanilla--extract.blogspot.com/p/lemon-lentils.html

  5. I cannot get over how many of you hate shoes.
I'm sorry Borders closed too, but I have a special place in my heart for B&N. That's where I met my husband Scott. BTW June, it's not that cold and clinical. ;)
I love to bake too. I'm an expert on high altitude baking. After I quit my job at AIG, I catered desserts for a while for clubs and company picnics. Do you have a specialty?
e.e. cummings is one of my favorite authors. The first weekend I spent at Scott's place, was the first time we had sex. The day after I came home, he had a bouquet of flowers delivered with e.e. cummings "100 Selected Poems." There was a post it attached to the cover that said Page 16. It was poem 14. The one that starts, "i like my body when it is with your body." Lol.
I really enjoyed your Q&A. Oh, my favorite pizza toppings are marinated artichokes and kalamata olives.

    1. Hi, Kiki :) I've seem you around, but I don't think you've ever commented here before, welcome :) Yes, I read about your experience meeting Scott, that might make it my favorite bookstore too! The one here, the lights are too bright, there are no cozy corners, everything is bright & jarring. BaM on the other hand has subdued, indirect lighting, warm decor, lots of cozy little places to sit, a kids play area - very homey feel.

The shoe thing? lol, I pondered on a previous post how many of us may actually have some kind of sensory-seeking issues - I know I do- and it didn't become evident until I had the boys evaluated for SPD. In educating myself about the condition and their experience, I realized that I have have sensory issues all my life. Ward & I call my youngest, who is a sensory-seeker 'Tendencies' (privately of course) because boy does he exhibit some suspect behaviors, lol.

My specialty? Hmmm, I have 2 - pies - I love to make old fashioned kind of pies, like chess pie, brown sugar & vinegar pie, and Daddy says I make THE best Key Lime pie he's ever had. And I also make cheesecake people beg for :)

That is so sweet! I love the emotion and movement in cummings' work. He had a unique voice that has yet to be repeated. This is one of my favorites:

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
      i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

I love poetry also, June - Walt Whitman is one of my favourite, and I have never "O, Captain, my Captain" without tearing up....I can't help it.

    1. Thanks, Lillie :)Yes, I love Uncle Walt - he was my first 'favorite poet'. I forgot Maya Angelou - another favorite :) O, Captain, my Captain is a favorite, and When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd. When I found him, I found what poetry REALLY us - I really detest iambic pentameter, that infernal rhythm takes much away from the poem for me, lol..... maybe that should have been one of my facts - "I hate iambic pentameter" :-P

  10. You did a great job on this, so many questions to answer! I enjoyed these posts and learning more about you. Enjoying the movies you take the children to more than they do June - that made me smile - you big softie lol

Thank you so much for the nomination. I'm sorry I couldn't get to your questions in my post (blame my husband lol). I'll answer a couple here. Favourite eye colour - hazel, favourie way to connect - either cuddled up together on the couch, or sitting on the floor between his legs, my arm wrapped around his leg and him either rubbing my back or playing with my hair. Favourite author - used to be Sydney Sheldon and I love Phillipa Gregory.

    Hugs
