You know you're a submissive when....

...he says "Don't ever forget I love you" and you get upset 'cause it sounds like goodbye; then he says "...or you'll be in trouble!" and you feel tons better

...you find yourself gravitating towards the kitchen and hair care sections in any store in search of pervertibles

...someone starts a sentence with, "We're going to switch..." and you flinch

...you click the "submit" button on a web form and giggle

...you have a storage closet full of paint stirrers and haven't done and aren't planning a painting project

...your shopping buddy doesn't understand why you insist that your new hairbrush be ALL wood

...you hear 'Bottom's Up!" at a party, and you comply

...if you add years to your age to get the extra spanks

...you go to dinner at a friend's and help her cook, and wonder if that spoon is used for anything else

...you hear a belt buckle jingle and your bottom tingles

HIS POV: All funny and I imagine some of them to be true! June's sense of humor often makes me chuckle!  Mayhap I should do a "You know you're a  dominant when...." Post... Who knows?! Stay tuned!

      1. So funny and so true. Reminds me of the time I got caught in the wooden spoon section of the store smacking a spoon on my thigh to test it, the guy looked at me and smiled. I laughed all the way to checkout.

And, you know you're Dominant Man,
when you jingle that belt buckle on purpose...
because you know EXACTLY what it does to her :)

      14. Our lives as seen thru sub-colored-glasses. It's funny how things shift. Sadly almost ANYTHING can be used in SOME way, weather to spank, tease, clamp or play - yikes!!

      15. For most of my life, if I'd read a post like this my eyes would have bugged out of my head. I didn't really believe women like you existed until the 2000s!

You know you're who you are when you do a double-take when you're at the deli counter and see "panko" crusted fish.

And it's not just submissives who hang out in the hairbrush section, btw. If anyone ever opens a store just for hairbrushes, they'd better have soundproof "fitting" rooms!

I've done that double take a time or two myself! I like the fitting room idea! We could callour store "Leather and Wood"...maybe a pun..."Wooden Leather" :-D

      16. I needed this laugh, June. Thank you.
It reminds me of a billboard we used to see in our area for a sandwich shop; I giggled every time we passed it because it conjured up thoughts so different than sandwiches. It's been awhile since I've seen it so the exact words escape me, but it was along the lines of, Good subs are what we do.

      17. When you notice that it always seems that the paddle shaped brushes and dense wooden spoons sell out in the stores before the oval shaped and smaller brushes and the wooden turners and slotted spoons. You start to wonder how many of us there really are. : )

      19. Dear June
You are an absolute hoot! Love your sense of humor!
A while back I decided I want my kitchen utensils to stay in the kitchen
and my hairbrush used only for my hair - so I bought Daddy Jack
a leather strap and a new leather paddle is on the way from the London Tanners! (his birthday present) :0)
Daddy Jack says I'm "high" maintenance - because I love expensive spanking implements! LOL
        hugs

        1. Hi, Jill,
Thanks :) It's rather wry...just a tiny bit sarcastic (who me???) My Daddy is partial to wood, and the hairbrush is his signature. We have found that I am ... or should I say my body is.... partial to leather. It is YUMMY, and does things to me, which Daddy quite enjoys... it's also my fastest way to my happy place. But sometimes I want/need/desire and hopefully NOT deserve the sting only wood can bring :-P I am fascinated by the LT belt, and the CP paddle. They're on my wish list :)

      20. Well, a good discussion with your beloved Ward just might get you the leather paddles you long for!
        There are always birthday presents!!
Just ordered Jack's boudoir paddle from the London Tanners. Should arrive for his birthday.
Now tell me - am I a good submissive wife or what?? :0) LOL
