Self-Image Affirmations
So many of my friends here suffer the same deficit of self-image that I
do. Daddy works so hard to change that. This is the hardest area to
submit for me. I thought I would share some words that speak to me, so
that maybe we can help each other in our quest to see the beauty that
resides in each of us.

I love the one girls. I have to make a poster of that one. Spent twelve hours yesterday shopping for prom dresses for the girls. They looked so beautiful. The names I heard some of the girls in the dressing room calling themselves made me sad. I wish some of those girls could read these. We did it. 2 prom dresses and 1 graduation dress in one day. Love my life.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Annie. What are we teaching girls about themselves and what to expect from themselves and others about how to be treated. It's no wonder some get to our age and still struggle. Three dresses in one day! Yikes! That's a feat! Hope they wear those dresses and feel love and pride and joy.

This is something I struggle with too. I think a lot of us do, unfortunately. Thanks for sharing these June, very uplifting! (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI think so, too, Grace. This is what I get disciplined for most - sigh. Sometimes I think I get it, and then something small can happen and it's dandelion puffs. It frustrates Daddy as much as it does me.
DeleteI guess all we really have to do, Grace, is let our minds quiet, and look to our men, and as Daddy says, see ourselves the way they do.
I'm glad this lifted you :)

Hey Ward and June...Thank you for sharing these...this is definitely something I struggle with. Think I will save/print a few of these and see if they help.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings,
Cat
Me, too, Cat! I go through Facebook, and shake my head. Daddy asks what's wrong and I say - Facebook is talking to me again, lol. It's usually exactly the message I need precisely when I need it. So I thought we should share :)
