  1. Awe, thank you so much Ward and June for the nomination.

Ward - you are such a talented writer I hope you work is published someday :) I rarely get to see snow so am so excited on the rare opportunities that I do.

June - making your own toys? Sheesh, you are a glutton for punishment ... er ... spanking LoL. I wish I was as talented with my hands as you are. I have absolutely no aptitude for arts and crafts. Starting a leather company would be so exciting! I'd be scared though what products you two would come up with! LoL

    1. Awww, thank you Annie :) I can crochet anything out of my head without a pattern. With knitting, I definitely need a pattern, lol, but I love doing cable stitch, and some of the very interesting things like Aran knits. I'm jealous that you have grape vines! I asked Ward if we can have grape vines and blackberry & raspberry bushes when we move - mmmmmm!

  4. This was so deserved, I know you inspire SO many of us fellow DD/TTWD bloggers!

Oh my goodnieness! I'm pretty surprised to be nominated. Thank you both so much, I'm not sure how deserving I am but I am humbled you thought of me. I am in fantastic company!

Ward - you must get published! As another said your words have amazing power! Also - I prefer my popcorn unbuttered too! Especially if it's actual melted butter on top, I don't like my popcorn feeling like it has been sucked on. *gag* ;)

June - I tried my dangdest to learn to crochet. HAHAHA, what a mess. Apparently I am not meant to be a crochet-er. Baking though? Sign me up! Actually, it seems as though we are very similar in what we love and enjoy. (P!nk is highly unerrated IMO, she's amazing) After all, I enjoyed the crocheting I just really was not good at it. LOL And maybe also the implement making, I am not crafty at all, Ill be honest. Teehee!

    1. You're most welcome, HLA, and thank you most kindly :)

You'll have to come for lunch some day & I'll teach you :) I have been crocheting since I was 9 - a nun in school taught me, lol. The knitting, I beat my head against the wall for years trying to figure the difference between a knit & a purl, then one day ....I think after I threw the needles across the room ;-P, I figured it out by accident, lol. I love to do either.

My specialties are pies, cookies and breads.

  5. Thanks for the nomination!

I love to crochet too. As much as I always wanted to knit, (I mean, sanctioned playing with sharp pointy things, could it get any better?) I just never could figure out how to coordinate the needles and make anything lol.

    1. You're most welcome, lil :)

You know I was ready to give up, threw them across the room & when I picked them back up I figured it out by accident :) Now it's all easy peasy, lol.

You made me snort with the 'sanctioned playing' comment, lol

  7. Thank you for the nomination...you're both so sweet.

Ward, I like popcorn without butter sometimes...will pop it in garlic or pepper oil. Have you tried that? I agree, I love to look at snow but yuck to driving in it. Of course, that might be due to the fact that everyone is safer if I'm not on the roads in bad weather. :) I love books and have collected them all my life...would love to add a book written by you to my collection.

June, I'm with you, don't like brussel sprouts - no redeeming qualities in my book. LOL My grandma tried to teach me to tat and she and my aunt tried to teach me to crochet but never could get it. Of course, trying to teach a southpaw anything when you're right-handed is hard. Do you crochet cozies for your 'implements'? LOL

Love learning more about everyone in blog land. Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings,
    Cat

    1. You got that right - bitter, nasty little cabbage imposters, hmmmmph! I never tried tatting, but I do filet crochet. You had me guffaw so loudly when you suggested cozies, the children looked at me. Nothing dears....go back to your game, lol. But you know, that's an idea...customized, pouches? hmmmmmmm

  9. Thank you so much for the nomination, it's very kind of you both, and you deserved this award also!

I cannot knit but I crochet from time to time.We have lots of bird feeders. I love draught cider. Has Ward ever tried Scrumpy? Ward, you must try to get published. I am trying to get my first novel published at the moment and the literary agents are even harder than the publishers. I think I'll self publish. At the moment it is being professionally "read" and I'm dreading the comments as your first book becomes your baby! I hate spiders June!

Now then, guys, how do I transfer that logo for the award to my blog? You are trying to explain this to a hopeless case remember! Nothing happens if I click on it. So what do I do please?

    Many hugs, Ami

    1. Ami - right-click on the logo and select 'Save picture as...', save it to a folder on your computer. When you get ready to write your VIB award post, then click 'insert image' icon in blogger and find the logo. If I have not been clear, email me and I will send you instructions/screen shots.

    2. Thanks, Cat :D

Hi Ami. I love watching the birds at feeders and have them scattered all around the house. That's exciting about your book! Can't wait to see it when it comes out. Oh, me, too, Daddy is the spider killer. One huge wolf spider took residence behind the mailbox last time Daddy was deployed. Like the huge hairy booger KNEW I had to put mail in every day & would be scanning the box waiting for letters. I was extra special wishing Daddy was home so he could KILL it!
